| so i've decided... i'm going to start a band. probably the greatest band ever. that i've been in.
North Korea has been in the news and on my mind a lot lately. Reading up on past news related to it I came across some dudes xanga which had a link to a bunch of video clips from North Korean television. Except that some jappos got to them first and added their sarcastic(?) commentary to it.
So this clip http://www.robpongi.com/pages/comboGTEENS.html has these two kids going at it musically. their level of talent is INSANE, like if u watch this clip u'll see a boy and girl duel version of travis barker on the drums. and they're North Korean.

This is where the other video clips are. Not all are from North Korea. Be sure to watch the "Fuckin USA" one, its interesting.
I fed Cody canned food for a change today, and he was so stoked.

So people were over, and when people are over there's always some guy that has to leave thru the front gate and leave the door open. And there's no way they could have missed the fact that we keep a dog in the backyard. So naturally, Cody monster runs away, and i have no idea. There's been many a times when marc and i had to sprint down the street barefoot, hungover, whatever the situation was and chase the monster down. But when i realized that cody was missing, it couldve been ages since that door was left open, and cody could be long gone from calling distance by that time.
i try not to trip out, but walk to my front lawn and whistle and call for cody. and bam, he comes running to me, and follows me back into the yard without hesitation. no running, no driving down the street searching for his ass, nothing.
so after everyone leaves some of us just chill in the living room for a while. then the last few people head home and we decide to get to bed. before i hit the sack, i decide to tuck cody in but cant find him anywhere in the backyard. and soon, i realize that the gate had been opened again.
i don't know what it is. same thing happened. cody monster came back instantly when i called him. cody monster is fuckin tight.
So this Sunday it looks like we're going to get to see some exciting football. Matt Leinart will get his first start against the Kansas City Chiefs. At the same time more eyes will probably be on the soap opera between McNabb and the Eagles v. T.O. and them Dallas Cowboys. Getcha popcorn ready for that one, and lets hope its not a bust.
But after all is said and done on sunday, there'll be one sole game to finish the day off, and one i am anticipating the most, which is the Chargers v. Steelers. Swing by my place, bring some beers. Come watch the chargers get revenge for the loss handed to them last year by the steelers on MNF, and watch them get revenge for the unnecessary loss that was handed to them last week by the ravens. byahh

as for an update on my life. life is good.

http://www.purevolume.com/plus44 for some reason i didn't think i'd be a huge fan of the other half of blink, but i guess i can be wrong sometimes. it's interesting to see the two different direction these guys went since they've been on their own. for a kid who followed this band since i started listening to music it's a lil bit nostalgic to hear the little things that used to be blink, but it's also refreshing to hear what they've created separately. i almost want to say that they're better off now and maybe i'd change my mind if i popped in an old blink album, but that's building a bridge to the past. in the words of bill, we should not build a bridge to the past, but a bridge to the future. but give them a listen, see if you like them. they play at soma in san diego on friday october 13th. two days after my birthday. so if you're interested in going let me know, but let me know soon. these things tend to sell out when they go on sale. so i took a break from writing this xanga entry to go throw a football in the backyard w/ marc. one throw went to high and into the neighbor's backyard and its almost 1am and all their lights are off so we figure i gotta just go in and get it. so i open the door with a big ass sign that says "BEWARE OF DOG" and im buzzin and i ask marc if they gots a dog. he says no, but every step i take into this place i'm prepared to do battle if any sort of animal happens to jump out of nowhere at me. during all this cody realizes how distracted we are that he takes this opportunity to bolt out of our backyard and into the street. so we chase barefoot and he dodges faster than reggie bush and this car is driving in the street and im tripping that cody is going to get hit. but instead of hitting cody, this car hits a parked van and definitely just drives away without leaving a note. so cody is still running having the time of his life thinking that all this is one huge game so i decide to shatter that and throw my football at him as he's running and so magically the next place he decides to run to is back into our backyard and lay down like a nice lil boy right next to his couch. tomorrow i get to go see USC take on Nebraska. gon be crazy. edit

| "Let's cut the bullshit and go straight to your room" - from retreat
this pic was taken from fraternity retreat up in sacramento w/ davis kdphis. good times. so it began. from daegu to seoul (1.5 hrs), seoul to incheon (1 hr), incheon to lax (10hrs?), lax to irvine (45 min), irvine to norcal in traffic (10 hrs) straight. so over a days worth of straight traveling i went thru, then the ride back and here i am at home. and theres a million things that need to get done. when photos need to be sent, people lag. but once they're all up on facebook you guys will know right away now that its been upgraded to creeper status.

| SUGARDONUT!

they just posted pictures up from their website from the one concert i went to. if u look at the arrow on the right side it points to me- it's the clearest picture of me i could find. they played for two hours and it was an incredible show, but my ass got lost and was 45 min late.
i was sittin in apgu w/ lawrence and we were planning the rest of our days here in korea on a napkin and i'm realizing that after all this "im so over korea-ness" i've been feeling that i don't have that much time left and there's still a good amount to do. after the few nights i've been having my emotions have been all over the map inside, displayed by the "wow. i just almost smoked a pack tonight" outside, and i'm realizing that cigarettes don't necessarily make a good crutch, and that i need to stop smoking so many of them. i have my future ahead of me. and i have basically 4 days left full of things i want and need to do.
time is low. so i gotta make friends with time.
